One of the best views in the city. Climb up or take the elevator. From the top, you’ll see the entire Baie des Anges, Vieux-Nice, and the harbor. There’s also a waterfall, ruins, and shaded paths.

2. Cathédrale Saint-Nicolas

A Russian Orthodox cathedral that looks like it belongs in Moscow. Colorful onion domes, intricate details – unexpected in the south of France but absolutely worth seeing.

3. Le Plongeoir

A restaurant built on a rock over the sea. But it’s more than just a place to eat. The spot itself is stunning – waves crashing below, a perfect sunset view. Even if you don’t stay for a meal, it’s worth seeing.

4. Promenade des Anglais

The heart of Nice. This waterfront walkway stretches for miles, lined with palm trees and blue chairs. Whether you walk, bike, or just sit and watch the sea, this is a must.

5. Place Masséna

Nice’s main square. Red buildings, black-and-white tiles, and the famous “Conversation” statues that light up at night. It’s a central spot you’ll pass through multiple times, day or night.

6. Sentier du Littoral

A coastal trail with wild beauty. It runs along the cliffs near Cap de Nice, offering dramatic sea views. Bring good shoes, the path can be rocky and very narrow – a bit intimidating at places. But the scenery makes it worth the effort.

7. Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate

A baroque masterpiece tucked in Vieux-Nice. The facade is elegant, but the inside is what really stands out – gold details, paintings, and an ornate dome.

8. Cascade de Gairaut

A hidden waterfall on the hills above Nice. It’s artificial but still impressive, set in a peaceful park with a view over the city. A great spot for a break away from the crowds.

9. Vieux-Nice

The old town. Narrow streets, pastel buildings, and endless cafés and shops. This is where you’ll find the famous marché aux fleurs (flower market) and some of the best socca in the city.

10. Monastère de Cimiez

A peaceful escape. This 16th-century monastery has a quiet garden with panoramic views. The adjoining church is worth a visit, and the cemetery has the grave of Henri Matisse.
