Direct Flights from Boston to Nice Coming in 2026

Starting next May, travelers from the U.S. East Coast will have a new way to reach the French Riviera – nonstop. Delta Air Lines has announced a new direct route between Boston and Nice, beginning May 17, 2026.

It’s the airline’s third U.S. connection to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, after New York and Atlanta. For New England travelers, it will be the first-ever nonstop link to southern France.

A much smoother option for anyone tired of transiting through Paris or Amsterdam.

The flight will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays using Delta’s Airbus A330-900neo, one of its newest and quietest long-haul aircraft.

The service will run seasonally, matching the Riviera’s peak travel months.

What this means for travelers

For Americans heading to Provence or the Côte d’Azur, this route cuts several hours of travel time. The flight leaves Boston in the evening and lands in Nice the next morning, about 7½ hours later, giving passengers a full first day on the coast.

The return flight is daytime, arriving in Boston mid-afternoon.

Delta already connects Nice with New York (JFK) and Atlanta, so this adds another direct option for U.S. visitors.

The route also helps ease congestion through Paris, offering a calmer arrival point straight to the Mediterranean.

Why Delta chose Nice

The French Riviera keeps attracting high-spending leisure travelers, cruise passengers, and business traffic tied to tech and events in Cannes and Monaco. Nice Airport is now one of France’s busiest outside Paris, with more transatlantic demand each year.

The addition of Boston means the region will soon have five direct U.S. routes – New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington, and now Boston.

It also gives Delta a stronger presence on the East Coast for summer Europe flights, alongside its new Boston–Madrid service launching at the same time.

Practical details

Tickets are expected to open in early 2025, with round-trip economy fares likely in the $500–800 range depending on season. Business class and premium economy seats will also be available.

The flight distance between Boston and Nice is about 3,800 miles (6,130 km), with a scheduled time of roughly 7 hours 35 minutes eastbound and 8 hours 40 minutes westbound.

For travelers planning a Riviera escape, this route will make arriving in southern France easier and a lot more direct.
