Montmartre Open Studios Weekend 2025

Montmartre hosts one of its most interesting events each November: a long weekend where local artists open their workspaces to the public.

The area between Anvers and Abbesses becomes a walking route of small ateliers, private apartments, courtyards, and temporary gallery spaces.

This open-studios event brings together more than a hundred artists across dozens of locations in the 9th, 18th, and nearby streets of the 17th.

Painters, sculptors, illustrators, photographers, ceramic artists, and mixed-media creators all take part.

Many of these places are normally inaccessible, so this weekend is one of the few opportunities to see how the neighborhood’s contemporary art scene actually works.

Visitors can explore the route at their own pace. Each atelier displays a sign at the entrance, and the welcome point on avenue Trudaine provides orientation for anyone starting from scratch.

It’s a simple way to discover new artists, buy original work, and see Montmartre from the inside rather than from the postcard view.
